People been saying we need cuc to get forward and whip balls into the Norwegian meat shield are now saying play Ake at left back lol

To some extent it is and has to be, but then there are occasions when you know you are going to have to extend yourselves to get what you need in a difficult, competitive and scarce market place. Then lick your wounds and cut your cloth afterwards - but at least you've hot what's needed. All within reason of course - as I think rhis was.
 
Some of the responses to people giving information/opinions such as Damien10, need to give their head a wobble

Nobody on here knows all the facts as to what has happened with valuations and limitations on what the club are prepared to pay for certain players.

What happens all the time on here somebody gives a snippet of what they believe and then are hounded if it doesn’t happen.

There are so many keyboard warriors on here who just love to try and make posters feel small.

All that happens is people with some information which I have no doubt shared in good faith, then decide the abuse back is not worth it and stop posting.

Sometimes it would be better for some if the transfer forum was only available once a player had signed the contact.

We`ve mostly done well at left back in spite of having a right back as our best option.

The problem unless we buy a true left back will be any injuries to Walker and Cancelo will leave us woefully short of premier league experienced replacements. Stones and Laportes continual injuries wont help either.

Ideally we need to buy both a left back and a right back.

Great idea - a discussion forum only for post event conversation. Difference of opinions is what makes this an interesting place to come . If you can’t hack someone not agreeing with your views it might not be the place for you.

The way i see it ,he doesent warrent a biddin war,no one knew who he was untill city showed intrest,its not as if hes done anythin yet,just cant see a biddin war,city have got a value for him ,if they think its right they will go for him if not they will pay more and go else where an get better if available,were deffo not that club that gets shafted,them days are over,were just too well run nowadays

It seems to me that, if there is truth to this Chelsea business, it rather changes the complexion of the matter. OK, we don't rate him at £50 million.
But what this now amounts to is that not only do we leave him at Brighton — that would have been o.k., I was fine with it, we could have always gone back next summer. But we now let a direct rival strengthen in recruiting him.
It is, to say the least, regrettable.

It won't be a bidding war if player wants to come here. Didn't you learn anything from kounde and raphina deal? Barca didn't pay more than Chelsea they matched Chelsea's offer. It happened because player desperately wanted to join barca.

Not that I think city will match Chelsea's offer. Won't happen
