I agree but that doesn’t mean we need to buy a LB by Sunday (start of the season). It simply means that we need to get someone in by the end of August.
Because from the club point of view they are not that desperate looking for LB like some fans speculate in here, there's player that will look have some minute as LB like Ake, Laporte, maybe Philips? and lastly our young player Josh Wilson Esbrand can share those responsibility. We are not dire yet at this point of season.
As things stand City decided to quickly solve the central positions with Haaland, Phillips and yes Ortega,The LB situation needed addressing for a long, long time, it's a major weakness in the major games, let's not kid ourselves.
