Cucuella proved himself to have an excellent first season in the PL. Mendy was great for Monaco but proved himself to be a complete flop for us. It seems to me that, if there is truth to this Chelsea business, it rather changes the complexion of the matter. OK, we don't rate him at £50 million.

I've said the same thing but why is Jorginho on this list?Precedent suggests we should be calm. Missing out on transfers often proves a dodged bullet. Jorginho, Maguire, Ronaldo, Koulibaly, Kane... If I had to guess right now, I'd guess we get in a left-back who's largely agreed to be better than Cucurella three years from now. But then I still don't really get the Cucurella hype.

No excuse mate,Mystic Meg should have been recruited to our back room staff years ago.It baffles me how some use Mendy as an example of value as if we knew the type of bellend he was when we bought him and decided to pay it anyway.
When we got him, he’d just come off the back of a fantastic season winning the league with Monaco and taking the piss out of many teams, us included, in the Champions League.
The signing itself was perfect for us and how Pep wanted to play and was looking promising until the injury and the obvious other stuff too.
