Marco Reus

He would be good for 20mil pounds. Not more. My opinion is that every player from Dortmund is overrated. They are the last ones in Bundesliga and still you have to pay lots of money for every single player. Not sure it s such a smart ideea to buy players from Dortmund.
No chance, just because they were bottom (which they aren't any more) doesn't mean every player is rubbish. Just as SuperCrystal says, Dortmund's poor form is largely down to stupid politics in the boardroom regarding Lewandowski, and very poor signings from Klopp. Reus would be perfect for us, not that I see us signing him.
I didn t say that he wouldn t be good for us or that I don t want him, of course I want him. But it depends of the price: 20-25mil pounds should be enough. As for Dortmund, I will stick to my opinion that every single of their player is overrated. For God sake, they are 1 point ahead of last place.

so when those same players beat bayern twice to the title creating points record they were also overrated?

Bale.

We need to sign him. He's the answer to our team's current malaise. We only need Bale and we're sorted for at least 2 more seasons with what we have.
bale is someone I'd love. Pace and shooting

but he is a different dribbler Than isco. Isco is more like hazard, uses ball control to dribble where bale is more about pace. Would love either tbh

We just need someone who can dribble the ball and take people on. We've lacked that at the club for a long time. We had the likes of SWP and Bellamy who would take people on, Robinho used to be able to beat players (though would get kicked off the ball more times than not). Navas has pace but very rarely tries to take the man on and when he is often in space there's a culture to slow things down and pass backwards rather than put the ball in the box. His delivery at Chelsea was brilliant and look at it again and you'll see no City player anywhere near it! It caused havoc that led to our goal. You don't need to have a target man to cause problems with the ball into the box. Navas is also unlikely to score - he is probably the worst shot in our squad. Adding someone like Bale who will go for goal and be direct would give us an added element we have lacked for a while. Reus and Isco are good options but I think they may struggle to influence our playing style the way Bale could.

Depends on who is available on for how much I guess. Real spent too much on Bale to sell now.

You chose to find the gif of the luckiest shot he had? He even said it was pure luck after the game.

They played a different football than all the other teams then. Were a young and eager team - and if Klopp is really excellent in something it is motivating and pushing his players.

They played with a much bigger effort than all the others - and that only really worked great when they were just playing one competition + the German Cup.

About Reus - he needed nearly 2 years to get rid of that clause and that it took until now just shows that he did not get the offer he wanted. It looks like he had a lot options but actually - if he wants to have guaranteed titles (what Dortmund cannot offer him) there is not much places to go.

Spain - Barcelona cannot, Real has CR7 and Bale
The EPL - pays good but all clubs seem to be far away from international titles. Mou has Hazard on the left wing, likes players with a high workrate (Reus does not have), Arsenal does not even have chances on national titles etc. - and others like Schürrle who is a good friend of him or Özil showed that they have problems in the EPL.
Germany - there is only Bayern. And if you believe BILD Bayern did not want him, if you believe some Dortmund journalists Reus did not want to go to Bayern. Fact is that his style does not match to Bayern and that they are packed in his position the next one or two years.

Money - he will not be a pauper. His wage is estimated between 8 and 10 million EUR and Puma plus Opel seem to make additional new sponsoring contracts. So we are talking about 115.000 GBP a week that are probably about 150.000 GBP will all the additions and a signing bonus.

Yes - he could probably earn more in England. But he gets that without any risks... Can stay in his surroundings. And Mom can drive him to the trainings ground as he does not have a driving license ;)

-------------

The idea that he might have made the deal to grant Dortmund a bigger transfer sum later... or that he made a deal that he could go later...

That would be totally stupid - and his agency is not. He had contract until 2017 - but the clause could have been drawn next season, too, maybe even with a lower sum. Like this he had fully control over it himself and with a transfer would have gotten a real big signing bonus and a higher wage.

Just jokes bruun , no need to be upset.

I've given up all hope of us signing quality players like this anymore as long as that Txixi lad is calling the shots. Fuck may aswell close this thread and the Messi and Pogba etc. they will just go the same way as the threads for Sanchez, Hazard, Isco, Di Maria etc etc...We are more likely to spend €30/€40 million on a player nobody has heard of than spend €20-€25 million on somebody like Reus. We also badly need another average Brazilian midfielder this summer

Now confirmed that he's extended his contract at Dortmund until 2019.
If they dont make the CL next season, which at the moment is looking rather unlikely, then I think this extension will be purely to get Dortmund more than the rumoured £20m buyout.

No, he has said that this is "A decision for life", he may leave in future but he will stay at BVB even if they go down, the contract is good for 2Bl.
Reus is a Dortmund lad and has no wish to move, if and when he does go it would almost certainly be to Barcelona, the current valuation from BVB is about 70 million euros should he leave in a couple of years.
A great decision by Reus for the Bundesliga as a whole.
