I get your point if he goes onto get 30 goals in a season just to prove to himself he can.

But, there's a bigger picture to look at surely. Is he ever going to amass 30 goals in a season when he's constantly getting himself on the wrong side of Mancini? Very doubtful. Which is a shame because we all know just how good a player he is.

The fact is, if he were to play for United, Arsenal, Chelsea etc, City fans would be labelling him a complete and utter plank and that they were glad he wasn't wearing the blue shirt. Maybe some City fans are just blinded by the fact he is a City player so he can do no wrong when in reality, his stupidness is preventing him from scoring much more than he has so far and that if he was to actually pull his finger out of his arse for once, he could go on to be one of the worlds best IMO.

Just because it's 'Mario' shouldn't excuse him for acting the prized clown on one to many occasion. If any of Hart, Silva, Aguero, Yaya started going out on the pop, smoking, breaking curfews and whatever else it is he has done, would his 'backers' be as 'acceptable' as they seem to be when Mario does it?

A great post! Sums up my thoughts on Mario - exactly.

mario, oh mario..... he's like the really dirty girl who you keep going back to despite the knowledge that she'll just fuck you off next week for someone else, then come back with those flirty eyes the week after....etc.

so - do we keep it up, or start to go steady with that slightly more reliable, slightly more plain girl who is very smart but anything more than the missionary position is out of bounds.....

But we all know if we are honest, one night with the "open minded" girl swinging off the lampshade and taking ecstasy to the edge of the point where you are seriously jeapordising your own health are worth 10 nights satisfying an urge with the cold fish lay on her back doing her duty !

No need to bring my missus into it!

Re: Mario could be in trouble again

I have it on good authority that it was Mario that killed Frank Foster... All over the papers tomorrow

Re: Mario could be in trouble again

Agree with Mancini on this. Even if the night out was harmless, the other players are abiding by the rules.

Have a feeling that if Mario was 100% focused for an entire season, he wouldn't miss a game and would be the PL's top scorer or at least alongside RVP.

Shame, really.

Re: Mario could be in trouble again

the problem is that Mario has made only 21 appearances this season, compared with 37 by Aguero and 30 by Dzeko. That low figure is down in large part to poor discipline.

Re: Mario could be in trouble again

Some people are tiring of Mario, I'm tiring of the haters. He's deserved neither of his suspensions but because his name is Balotelli they've been given for fuck all. If Scott Parker got penalised for the same level of challenges as Mario, he'd barely play. As for Charlie Animal, sorry, Adam, got away with it again, against Brighton. Defies belief. Asked this several times as well now, what punishment did Huth get for his off-the-ball elbow into Mario's throat in the FA Cup Final? Mario is judged by the harshest standards in the league despite not being a dirty player and some of our fans are seemingly going along with it.

Re: Mario could be in trouble again

It would appear that Mario was given a bit of time to settle down after he arrived from Italy. His previous misdemeanors were greeting with a smile from Mancini and an 'oh well that's Mario' sort of response.

This time he seemed really pissed about it. I think Mancini has finally run out of patience with Balotelli.

I hope Balotelli got the bollocking of his life and has finally realised what Mancini has done for him by bringing him here and backing him to the hilt despite his stupidity.

We'll see.

Agree with that and also I feel his off-field "misdemeanours" get hyped by the media. How much media coverage was there of Balo's rather trivial little escapade compared to an England rugby player being cautioned for urinating in public while blind drunk a few weeks after being done for drink driving?

The guy can do reverse wheelies in a car whilst pissed up and with a cig in his mouth, playing football is never going to trouble him too much.
