From the very limited amount I saw of him early in the season, I thought there were some positive signs but very raw.

He is 25 in September, a bit old to still be 'raw', although maybe young enough for a season with Pep to straighten him out

Kovacic is a year younger than Lemina, though? I mean, Pep would develop Kovacic as well.
