Market Street store in town

Should open a large showpiece city centre store with small five a side area, interactive FIFA games etc.

Heard this isn't reopening as the place they were planning to move too fell through so now scrapped the idea.

Agreed. Would be a great place to go and would be attractive for young adults.

I spoke with manager of the old Market store today, he told me they're still looking for a new location.

Personally, I'd put the box office in the new store and have it inside the Arndale.

Simple answer, Leases. Market street and the Arndale are THE prime locations in Manchester, the leases come up fairly regularly and increase by a crazy amount each and every time. The City store is an extremely niche shop with a very limited amount of potential customers. It almost certainly doesn't make enough to cover costs and is likely subsidised by sponsors, i.e Nike, it could be that they're no longer doing that with talks wit regards to shirt manufacturing stalling.

I'm curious as to why we haven't got an outlet in The Trafford Centre as well. The airport would make good sense too. Certainly something the club should consider.
