Really can't see why we would go for Fellaini. He would cost 15m+ and he's a very average midfielder. I don't see where this ''top 4 player'' material comes from. I'd probably take Coloccini if we can get him cheap but I really don't like the idea of Fellaini.
Fellani is better than Barry and De Jong, that's why.

Most sensible post on this site for weeks!

Fellaini is better than BOTH of them put together i.e. we would only have to play with ONE holding midfield player. Therefore one more attacking player can be played.

Felliaini better than barry and de jong based on what, barry and de jong were integral parts to our season and without them we probably wouldnt have won the league

There have been rumours of Rednapp leaving Spurs to be replaced by Moyes. If this was to happen I wonder if our relationship with Everton would improve?
I cant see Moyes doing anything other than screwing us over where ever he goes much as Levy has tried.
Ade/Bale transfers would be interesting!

The only club golum will leave Everton for is them red cunts!
If Moyes has ambitions to manage Utd, (which I agree with you he has), IMO he would need European competition experience with a bigger club. Spurs are closer to CL than Everton are likely to be.
Without outside investment Moyes has reached a "glass ceiling" at Everton.

I'd have him like a shot. Very strong, powerful, great in the air, great finisher, great passer.

Just needs a haircut.

His talent is wasted as a holding midfield player,he's so much better off of a striker.

Yet again - looking backwards....................we didn't do anything in Europe did we? One of the reasons for that was a lack of goals, therefore freeing up a holding midfield role for a more offensive player would improve our chances. Geddit? This coming season we must do well in CL.

-- Tue Jun 05, 2012 2:38 pm --

He would be better in a box to box midfielder role similar to Yaya IMO.

I've always thought he's had great ability on the ball, but he was exceptional throughout the 4-4 at the swamp just off Jelavic, I'm not sure he was beaten to a single aerial ball, bringing down 90% of them down on his chest

He was fantastic against England too. Chelsea now linked with him btw.
