He had his foot trodden on in the first half, which should have been a free kick and a yellow card, but apart from that, I can’t think of anything the ref got wrong.

No ref is going to get all decisions right. At least with this one, he didn’t fall for any histrionics and let the game flow. That’s all we can ask for from Euro refs.
 
I love all our players. Does that make me a fool? :-) (rhetorical question!)

Sometimes one player has a good, even great, game but then next game he has an off day and is a bit rubbish.
I bet when you go to work in a morning/afternoon/evening/night you don’t give the same 100% performance every day? I know I didn’t when I was working.
Same with the players, they could have had a horrible day and not be concentrating as well as usual. But they didn’t go out on the pitch to give a poor performance.
That is why I love all our players...because they are human beings just like you and me with all the good and not so good traits! Money, prestige and fantabulous skills doesn’t change that. :-)

It was one of our better performances. Let's not forget, it wasn't your normal preseason. We are not the only club to let's say not firing on all cylinders with freak results happening all over. Injuries, covid are playing there part. Patience please!
 
The energy and pace of that front three was great to see. Stirling and walker linked brilliantly down the right and gundogan played further forward than usual bad was a threat.
 
Marseille deserved what they got .... disrepecting 'taking the knee' like that , tut , tut ,tut.

BTw not really having a go at you I just think it is daft to get too het up about someone thinking your favourite player is a load of gash, you might think theirs is.

After all after many years of being rubbish we now aspire to being the best club side in the world. On that basis you can perhaps to expect what are infact very very decent players to get proclaimed not up to the job...and make no mistake there are no bad players in the squad at all.
