Totally agree, he's perfect when we are already goals up and against tired legs.
He cannot be at the expense of Foden being accommodated as a starter.
Especially so, when Sterling looks so more threatening on the right.
I'd also add that Mahrez is the type of player that we want coming on to break down a low block when we've had no luck after 60/70 mins.
As frustrating as he is, he does often come up with a goal or assist from nowhere on his own doing - a moment of magic when we're struggling to come up with anything.
Basically, the underlying argument with Mahrez is that he should be our super sub and nothing more. If he isn't happy with that, I'm sure we won't be too concerned if he sees his future elsewhere.
We are so much more balanced as a side when he isn't starting and hopefully Pep starts to see this, but I am concerned it will just be rinse and repeat and he'll be starting again this weekend.
