I don’t disagree but Zubimendi or any other decent 6 would want some assurances that there was a plan to do that. Spain don’t so he sits on the bench and up to now we haven’t. I’m sure Pep would convince him but he’d need to know Pep was going to be his manager for more than 6 months.It would give us options and that’s what it’s all about. Maybe some games we would not need both but going away to the like of real and Liverpool, a double pivot could work, it would free up Rodri to attack when the opportunity arises.
We obviously thought Phillips could have been this person but that failed spectacularly.
