Just like Rodri
My scouting report reads:Has anyone ever actually watched him play? the ol' youtube doesn't really give any insight...
If he’s better than the central midfielders we currently have available then we should sign him. If not, no point.
I see it a different way, if everyone is fit what would our midfield 3 be, probably Rodri, KDB , Foden or Bernardo. So the question is who is best to Replace either KDB and Bernardo, lets throw in Wirtz but who ever they are I don't think it's Zubimendi. We also need back up for Rodri again don't think Zubimendi would want to be that.If he’s better than the central midfielders we currently have available then we should sign him. If not, no point.
Reijnders can seamlessly play both the Bernardo role and the Rodri role as a backup, and he is far superior to Ederson in terms of outfield contributions. This one player has the versatility to address multiple needs: he can fix our lone 6 position, complement Rodri effectively, and bring dynamism to the box-to-box role. His adaptability and skill set make him an ideal solution to several of our midfield challenges. I highly doubt we’ll sign him, especially given how weak our midfield recruiting has been lately. It’s hard to have confidence in our ability to identify and secure the right players for such a critical area of the team. For me we replace KDB next summer replace Bernardo if needs be. Know nothing about him really but Ederson from Atalanta for Rodri back up seems a more likely profile to me than Zubimendi.
Pep or whoever our manager is next year may have completely other ideas and see us with Rodri and Zubumendi in the same midfield , who knows.
Never heard of him so don't know if he's right for us or not, don't know who is right for us to be fair because I don't watch much football apart from City. I do however trust the club, which you don't seem to. Odd considering their success.Reijnders can seamlessly play both the Bernardo role and the Rodri role as a backup, and he is far superior to Ederson in terms of outfield contributions.
