It was a shame that he got injured so soon after signing as it did him some time to get used to the game over here. No injury and maybe the games against Barca and Wigan would have gone differently. Still very happy with the season and Martin's contribution to it though. Manuel always seemed to trust him even when everybody was calling for his head. In Pellegrini we should trust!

Just loved watching him celebrated today, and not in a "proved you lot wrong " way. Hasn't put a foot wrong in the run-in, and that booking was a joke. Love the man.

It's been a joy watching him defend in the last couple of months, like a masterclass.
Who'd have thought we'd win the title with MDM, Javi Garcia, Edin Dzeko and Kolarov all starting? It's pretty much a "fuck you" to the forum! Got to love it, love how much he seemed to enjoy getting mobbed as well, hopefully he'll stick around a bit and hopefully teach some of the younger lads the dark arts of defending
