Martin Demichelis (continued)

He will be here for two season. The only thing that will end his stay earlier is if Manuel Pellegrini leaves at the end of this season (which is highly unlikely imho) or both the player or our current manager judges that he can no longer handle the physical demands of playing at a high level.

That covers all the bases.

For me MDM only issue was making rash challenges that resulted in goals. In general he played very well right up until the bad mistake. He's cut out those rash challenges and the player who was very solid for 90% of the match has emerged.

I call him DemiGod now. The man is seriously becoming my favourite City player at the moment. He's been solid as a rock alongside Kompany, and what a great guy as well, conducts himself brilliantly. And he's sexy as hell, infact I think that's why he got some criticism, it wasn't because of his performances, they just wish they were as sexy as him.

It's hard not to love him with the criticism he's taken and how he's bounced back. The way some imbecilic pundits were talking about him was as if was a terrible defender and didn't ever have the ability to make it in the Prem, before you write someone off completely you need to actually look at a players career because everywhere he's gone he's been a success. And now I'm absolutely chuffed for him to be turning it around at such a crucial time for us. His positioning in terms of playing a strong defensive line and catching people offside is second to none.

Demis first goal for city, the tap in just summed up everything about him,not just a brilliant footballer but a great personality,he might not play a long time for us but he will surely be remembered for a long long time
Legend !!!!!!!!

A lot of "pundits" still call him a weak link - clearly haven't watched his last dozen games+. Nothing but admiration for the way he has been able to rebound. And agree 100% with your comment on the offside trap. He knows how to organize a defence.

He's the player we would have had had we been able to afford Van Buyten.
