Demichelis makes more tackles, interceptions, clearances and passes than Lescott per league game, he also has a better pass completion.

The only one of those stats that Vinnie can better is tackles.

MDM has made some high profile mistakes but he actually does an awful lot of good work for the team.
If you lunge in constantly then you'll always end up with a lot of interceptions and tackles. What those stats don't say is how many failed tackles or interceptions he has, where he's sold himself completely and left us high and dry or given away fouls. No one is doubting his willingness to try and tackle, quite the opposite, he's far too keen and doesn't seem to consider whether it's wise or not.

MDM is an accident waiting to happen just about all the bloody time... he makes the Dunny Monster look like an agile Shaolin monk
That said it didn't help the pony-tailed donkey that , as per fookin usual, Mica was out of position during Wigan attacks

Sorry Micah, just forget footy and try rugby league: your body and brains are both built for it

Grasshopper when you can walk on the rice paper without breaking it you can leave this place!!!

Grasshopper when you snatch the pebble out of my hand you can leave this place!!

MDM is not the problem, it is the WAY we defend and WHO gets back to assist when we are defending. It OVERexposes our back four. Look at the teams we play and see how many players they have defending when there is a break on. They have AT LEAST a few midfielders who bust their hump to get back.....we have Fernandinho!!

The other problem is that we play VERY NARROW when defending, so when our full backs do have to go out to meet any wide threats, if the midfielders are not filling in, we are left with decent sized holes between our defenders. That is where we are most often attacked. The number of goals scored BETWEEN our two central defenders is a nightmare.

Talking shite bringing Micah into the affray, what the fuck his excuse normally, because Micah doesn't usually get a game and he still makes mistakes that can potentially lose us games .

That's all fine and dandy but those high profile mistakes lead directly to goals and loses. It's irrelevant if he completes 100% of his passes if he gives up penalty shots and gets tossed.

We are an attacking team, which means the defenders need to do a good job defending, rather than just hope someone else stops the attack before it reaches them.

Many of the goals we have conceded were not that difficult to stop, just needed a little bit more concentration & decisiveness. That's including the fuck ups involving Nastasic, Joe Hart etc. There have been an awful lot of bad mistakes which have led to goals, & Demichelis has been involved in a large percentage of them.

Inbetween fuckups, he actually does pretty well, but what use is that if he costs us 20 goals per season ?
