Mary, Mary, quite contrary. How does your garden grow?

Can't wait to start growing stuff.

I saved some seeds from shop tomatoes and I'll soon be planting those in pots to see what type they turn out to be.

Working in the garden is just a dream at present, wouldn't be able to bang a nail in the ground, let alone a fork.

Asparagus will be up first, but far too much for us (20 plants), so I give a lot away. Then it will be a season of carrots, green/yellow/kidney beans, potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, leeks, spring onions, parsnips, kale, radishes, strawberries, zucchini, cucumbers, squash, cantaloupe and snow peas.

I'd like to grow sprouts and broccoli, but whenever I do they get abused by flea beetles and I won't use insecticides or any chemicals in the veg garden come to that.

Counting down the days until May.

I'm so far behind this year, potatoes will be going into containers tomorrow. Rhubarb coming through good. Will be mostly growing potatoes, rhubarb, courgette, marrows, squashes, cucumbers, shallots, Runner beans, peas, spinach, lettuces, salads and herbs this year.

I've got some rhubarb on the go....and some tomatoes. Strawberries too. I'm thinking of buying a cow.
