Ok expected is not the same as mandatory so unenforceable.Goalposts moved again.
We are expected to wear them indoors now from July 19.
People will be 'expected' to wear masks in enclosed spaces after 19 July, minister says
Nadhim Zahawi suggested the government will issue guidance on Monday stating that people are still "expected" to wear face masks in indoor, enclosed spaces - despite the legal requirement to wear one ending at stage four of the government's roadmap out of lockdown.news.sky.com
So shifting the responsibility ,and any confrontation from government onto the staff in the shop, public transport or venue itself. Unfair on those just trying to do their jobs. Different premises will have different rules. As well as the discretion of the establishment you wish to enter.
Not seen a shop , public transport or any other establishment enforce the mask rule , people walk in unchallenged suspect early on they did but as you only had to say I am except they could not be bothered with the hassle
I wore one to local shops this week. And to Dentist and an ENT appt but those were enforced. My wife doesn't wear them in any place where it's indoors and not enforced. Seems silly following two different approaches. We go trafford centre in a week, she'll not wear a mask I will. It's daft isn't it. I'm stopping myself from potentially spreading covid, but it doesn't stop me catching it from all those that have no mask. Wish we'd kept it mandatory for just 2 months.Tesco Walkden earlier: 70% of customers and 50% of staff maskless.
Leicester Forest East services yesterday: 50/50.
I can't see mask wearing lasting much longer and it will be down to those that think it protects them not others. I don't use public transport so I've no idea what's that like.
Edit: Once again Bluemoon is so different to the Great British public looking at the poll. How many of those that said they'd still wear a mask are doing so?
