Yep sure is. Can't understand rags going for him tho they already have Shrek and Kagawa who play the same role they're going to spend 35/40m on a position they don't really need.

Can only see Chelsea agreeing to this if they agree Shrek can leave for them in the summer.

He's quality, but if they want to spend £40million or so to play him out wide, then brilliant. Kagawa was amazing for Dortmund, but he's not clicked in their system, don't see this making much of a difference.

What also concerns me is Mourinho having £40m to go and get a top class striker. Plus he obviously has a bit of funds anyway if he asks the owner. Have to admit I thought this would end in a swap deal with rooney

It doesn't matter where will they play him, left...right or in the middle.

IF Moyes trust him and start him regularly he will perform and be a match winner for them.


Lets hope PSG, Monaco or whatever out there can hijack this deal.

I just can't believe mourinho wont ask for rooney in return. unless he has seen the 40m on offer, decided exactly who hes spending it on, and has started the wheels on that deal

And Balague revealed on Revista de La Liga: "Manchester United and Chelsea are negotiating the future of Juan Mata - and the idea is that Mata, who Chelsea are happy to let go, goes to Old Trafford in this transfer window.

"Chelsea are asking for £32 million or with Wayne Rooney as part of the deal. Manchester United have said no to the money and no to Rooney - but I am under the impression that a deal will be reached because it benefits everybody.



United will get Mata for 40 they just wont let Rooney go yet. My guess is they will get Mata then spend the next 6 months do everything they can to try to get Rooney to re-sign before Chelsea get a chance to put a bid in.
