The papers say Real will go for Rooney, because they can't get their #1 target Aguero.

Mata could be a United player before they play Cardiff the press are saying, a few million difference between valuations right now.
Nightmare situation. This is like the RVP to United and the Ozil to Arsenal. The two teams I hate most in the Premiership on the verge of missing out on the CL and falling out of the top 4 then two very stupid clubs go and save them.

It's just unbelievable why Chelsea would do this. It makes no sense and does not benefit them at all. Mata goes to United and they are guaranteed to get top 4. They get top 4 and Rooney stays. Chelsea fans I have texted are furious with this decision.

I don't buy that at all, what United need more than anything is a dominant box to box CM of the class of Yaya or Schweinsteiger, a player like that allows the Matas of this world to express themselves. Carrick, Cleverley and Jones don't cut it at that level.
When you buy a player of Mata's class it does not matter. What United needed more than anything last season was a dominant CM too, but instead they bought RVP and won the league. Arsenal did not need Ozil, but they bought him and are top of the league. Players of that quality transform teams.

As things stand Mata is probably still a better player than Hazard.

Very desperate panic buy by the scum.

Basically it strengthens Chelsea as they'd be 'losing' a player who hardly ever plays and it's would be handing them 35ish million to fund a top striker with.

Mental.

Also mata plays in the hole. So do Rooney and kagawa. They don't need another player who performs this role.

Mental.
No it makes little difference to Chelsea, but Mata is still arguably their best player. Mata is much better than either Rooney or Kagawa as a 10. Even if Moyes is stupid and decides to waste on him the wing he is still a infinitely better than all their options. It's just like Ozil going to Arsenal. Yes you can make nonesense claims about how Carzola could do the job Ozil does, but it's wrong. Mata will give all the players a huge boost and then greatly increase the quality of their player.

I feel severely pissed off at this news.
It's like this summer all over again.
Fuck me mate where's the fire?

BaconChops probably been sucking up to Mourinho in behalf of the scum Be a cracking signing for em and might just push em to 4th position trophy

the reason that Chelsea are prepared to let him go is that there has been a feeling for a long time now that he doesn't do it in the big games

anyone remember our early games when Yaya went out of his way to kick the shit out of him, off the ball slaps to the face etc

the feeling is that he can be intimidated out of the game

As has been mentioned by others, where are they going to play him? If they persist with their 4-4-1-1 then when Van Persie and Rooney are fit Rooney plays in the No.10 role which is Mata's natural position, pushing Mata wide limits his options in the same way United have misused Kagawa. And they can't change to a 4-3-3 formation as they don;t have a good enough centre midfield to play it.

Chelsea have played Man Yoo home and away.

Smart to strengthen Man Yoo with Mata when they still have to play City and Arsenal.

Dontyathink?
