In 1966 De Gaulle informed the US that France was withdrawing from NATO and demanded that their troops were removed from French soil immediately. US secretary of state Dean Rusk responded by asking sarcastically "does that include the dead ones?" Apparently De Gaulle went ashen faced and left the room without saying another word.
Churchill is quoted saying De Gaulle "looks like a female Llama who has just been surprised in her bath."

I like to ventilate my prejudices occasionally, it gives Mr Moustache and others the opportunity to remind me how out of touch with the modern world I am.
