Match of the Day - 2016/17

I reckon he was getting a stiffy when he walked over to the injured Silva whilst the south stand sang you're not fit to referee.

That was the most corrupt decision of the weekend. Clearest trip you'd see all season! Not giving that and then having the fuckin' brass neck to go and berate Silva tells yer everything yer need to know about todays 'impartial' officiating!

It was a red, hard to argue otherwise. Dinho needs to give his head a wobble.

And also think Bacary has been daft as well. Will be lucky to escape a retrospective ban...

We need to wise up here, a fukin lot!! It's bad enough losing key players thru injuries, but plain indiscipline is pretty inexcusable.
He got a yellow card so no retrospective ban can happen. It was spotted by the linesman, reported to the ref who took action

Spot on. Corrupt as fuck and I'll never believe otherwise.

The Premier League is an Entertainment brand, a show, which relies on income from global viewing figures... it's no different to other entertainment brands such as x-factor or Gladiators, the majority of football fans are too naive and idealistic to see it.

The F.A. and the Premier League might not be able to influence players in order to get the results they require, but they can certainly influence officials.

It is becoming more apparent that the refs are using the headpiece to receive messages, clearly they are waiting on messages before making some decisions.
Maybe it's time the players all wore headphones and received instructions from the bench... what's good for the goose etc.

Kevin Kilbane 'Clear straight red for Fernandinho, leg breaker of a tackle, disgusting' V 'That's a terrible decision to send Feghouli off, was just a good tackle with a coming together. He was off the ground but he was in control'. What was the difference between the two tackles?

Simple, my man - one was a City player and the other, er, wasn't a City player!

The incident with Luiz is another example of the ref clearly taking instruction from the earpiece, it's noticeable how he runs to the incident about to blow and suddenly stops still, looks a little stunned and the play continues with him holding the earpiece, still stunned he starts to jog again with play.

Maybe it is just the assistants, assisting the refs

This last part is the issue, isn't it? The not knowing.
For instance, it's entirely possible that he saw the challenge happen and thought 'foul'. He could then have asked the linesman how bad it was, and that would have been perfectly reasonable too.
But it could be anything else.

Dean yesterday - I am certain the linesman told him it was a sending off, when actually it was two lunging players colliding.
