When actually is was a foul by The FaceThis last part is the issue, isn't it? The not knowing.
For instance, it's entirely possible that he saw the challenge happen and thought 'foul'. He could then have asked the linesman how bad it was, and that would have been perfectly reasonable too.
But it could be anything else.
Dean yesterday - I am certain the linesman told him it was a sending off, when actually it was two lunging players colliding.

Kevin Kilbane 'Clear straight red for Fernandinho, leg breaker of a tackle, disgusting' V 'That's a terrible decision to send Feghouli off, was just a good tackle with a coming together. He was off the ground but he was in control'. What was the difference between the two tackles?
Phil McNulty said:I have just invested in an old pair of Jimmy Saviles used y-fronts, just gonna pop down to work for a late meeting with the lads. I think Robbie Savage might get a promotion to MOTD2, we will see how his interview goes!
Can't grumble at that, it was an OG.A sterling punditry performance last night - Shearer and Wrighty - "never a penalty" - Lampard said it probably was at least. Second goal was an own goal......Wet Spam were shite.......new stadium effect...... where do they go from here....... barely a mention of the fact that we played sublime football.......par for the course I suppose.
I think the pundits tried to make out that being an own goal made it less impressive. Can't grumble at that, it was an OG.
