It's hardly an insuperable problem though, it needs sorting because too many keepers are taking the piss, wasting 30 secs to a minute taking goal kicks.

I didn't actually think Guita was that bad at the weekend.

He didn’t speed up when they were losing either. Probably keeping the score down, but it was the natural time he takes.

I have to disagree with you on that mate..he's a time wasting twat..
The ref must have told him half a dozen times in the first half but the spineless fucker didn't have the balls to book him.
I bet if we were winning 3-2 and Eddie wasted the same amount of time he book be booked.

Ederson isn’t great at hiding his Timewasting.

That being said, nothing ever gets done barring a yellow card. I doubt anyone has been sent off for two yellow cards, both for time wasting.

It could be worse.

Yeah I agree about the two yellow cards for time wasting ..can't ever see a ref brave enough to do it.
Mind you if a keeper has been warned a few times then booked, he should get a couple of warnings and then booked again.
It's so annoying just watching them waste time game after game.

No it pissed me off regardless of the score but moreso when we are chasing the game..
We pay to watch football not some prick tapping his boots against the post and then repositioning the ball a couple of times then waiting an age to kick the bloody thing
Refs should tell all the keepers that if they keep doing that then they will be booked and repeat offenders will receive a second card.
Another thing that is annoying is as soon as a team are under pressure they fall down under minimal contact and the game is stopped.

As far as I’m aware it’s a law that hasn’t changed in my lifetime.

George Best had a famous one while playing for Northern Ireland in the 70s where he nicked the ball away from the ‘keeper while it was in the air and that was rightly penalised also.

Yeah I don't think they changed any rules, but if I remember rightly, after the Henry one, they clarified the rules to make it more explicit that a goalkeeper being 'in control' of the ball covers the full action of kicking it from your hands.
