Match of the Day

Mark Chapman is a good presenter. Linekar was only ever just alright as a presenter, often forgetting what was coming next on live coverage and there’d be an awkward silence for a few second while he looked at his sheet to ask the next question. Whereäs, Chappers is a natural presenter.

My Father knows Chappers and says he does a great deal of research on football, rugby league and NFL when he presented that to get up to the knowledge required. Takes his job seriously.

Will be good for MOTD.

As for the programme in itself; people moan about it, saying this buzz lines ‘it’s out-of-date’ or ‘old fashioned’… but there’s nowt wrong with it the way it is and always has been (look at QoS for an example of ruining a programme by trying to ‘modernise’ it, which started even before getting rid of Barker, Dawson and Tuffers when they introduced stupid games to the show, putting balls in tubes and shit like that).

Since MOTD has been on iPlayer (a few decades at a guess), I don’t think I’ve ever not ended up watching a single episode.

It’s a British television institution and should always be in our screens with that theme tune!

It is an awful program, how much of it is football and how much is just sound bites?

Goes on air at nearly half past 10pm, I am in bed doing my puzzle book by then.

I’m usually in the pub on a Saturday night, that’s why I almost always watch it on iPlayer through the week.

People always moan about the analysis, but I’m sure if they could avoid paying a bunch of ex-footballers and still get the same ratings, they would. Ultimately we have pundits because people want to watch the analysis.

Joe Hart with a better polished dome than Danny Murphy...
I initially thought Joe had tape on his arm. I can't believe they are tattoos !
But yes he me needs to shave his bonce now. He looks like he's hanging on for dear life to whatever's left.

I like it. Nothing better than watching a rag defeat being picked apart by some old pros.

I’ve just read online that rug head is getting paid £800k a year for his inane ramblings. He’s played a blinder there the fat twat!

Money well spent Auntie!
I only watched the city segment, he could barely get a sentence out, shearer had to cut in and finish it off for him.

He must have a bloody good agent.
How does the BBC come out with that figure? What other channels were in for him and how much were they prepared to pay him? I bet it was nowhere near that amount.
