Everton have defended quite well in fairness to them.

Like everyone said back in the Autumn; it’s easy/easier to defend against teams cutting inside all the time.

Players don’t have to overcommit, just hold a general area inside with numbers. It’s like zonal defending, knowing all City are going to do is cut inside.

We’re playing right into their hands.

Performance levels have dropped tonight. Combine this with Marriner fucking us over, a draw would be a reasonable result.

A win would be amazing but a draw and no injuries would suffice. I think pep knows his best team (this isn't it) but he needs to rotate and play the long game for the rest of season.
