We need some movement up front. Alvarez whilst no doubt has the talent, he's not moving or making any runs. Yes that's hard with a packed defence but he has to offer some more just to create a pocket of space in behind.

The game is going how I expected, we're just lacking some polish in the final third.

Only sub available is to bring Phil on, can't see Mahrez opening them up.

Away form is a worry

We aren’t playing any better at home.

Apart from two performances against two poor teams in Bournemouth and Forest, and two halves against Palace and United, we haven’t started playing consistently well yet this season.

But as I've just mentioned, we lost two productive forwards in the summer.

If we're to win the Prem and the CL, we'll need Haaland fit for the majority of the season. Just my take.

Dominant so far but whilst they're having to defend a lot they're not having to work that hard. Side to side before a pointless cross so far. Need more guile. Gundo frustrates me in games like this. He just hovers around the edge of the box, but he needs to look to cause overloads the way De Bruyne and Bernardo are. Get closer to Grealish and Cancelo to look to get in behind.


As we switch from side to side there needs to be someone going the other way and a defender slotting them in.

Pedestrian in attack so far. Grealish just trotting about, De Bruyne not quite on it with his delivery and the defence passing it about quite slowly.
