It’s far from pretty.

The front 3 create next to nothing. The Mahrez/Grealish partnership has proven time and time again to be impotent and yet Pep persists. Adding Alvarez into the mix hasn’t changed anything.

Gomez is tidy in possession but he defends like Zin did when he 1st arrived at the club. He falls asleep and is susceptible to the ball over his head.

Of the youngsters, Lewis has done ok. Palmer has been invisible for the most part.

Thankfully there is nothing on the game but it just feels like a continuation of our recent below-par performances.

100% agree, the only chances he's had of touching the ball came from his pressure to the keeper, 99% of the time he's guarded by 2 or 3 defenders, much taller than him.
Doesn’t help that out wingers slow the game down too and everyone gets back.. then mahrez of course just cuts inside

It's a friendly in shitty weather.

As long as nobody is injured, the result is meaningless.
All true.

Unfortunately our form is not great and has not been great. The results are good. Second in the league and top of the group so can’t complain.

Performances have been poor for a while imo.

Honestly wasn't that bad.

The goal conceded was from just stupid marking on that set piece.

Final pass is slightly off and slightly lacking the killer instinct (I think Palmer could have scored, Grealish could have done better in that last one).

But otherwise about what I'd expect from this mish-mash of players.
