Phil and jack should be replacing gundo and kdb. Kovacic is no where near good enough.We need to remember Gundagon and KDB will be a year older next season, we need another player who can rotate with them. We've already seen recently KDB is shattered and is being subbed with 20 to go every game. Kovacic will be a great signing for us and will play 40+ games if he stays fit.

I suspect Foden will integrate into KDBs position over the next couple of years. Grealish is doing great out wide, he should stay where he is. Plus by moving them both, we'd have to sign 2 wingers. If Pep can add goal scoring to Kovacic your looking at easily top 3 midfielders in the Prem, his dribbling ability and ability to carry the ball brushing off challenges is incredible up there with the best. If you add goal scoring and passing/assists to that, Kovacic becomes a lethal midfielder.

Why would anyone expect him to score goals? Its not his game, never has been and doubt he'll learn if we sign him. We're not buying him to score goals.

Not the sort of signing you'd be frothing over, but a logical one. Loads of experience, part of winning squads and used to being rotated. Huge amount of talent and coming into his peak. We've got Gundogan and De Bruyne who will need managing over the next season or so, and younger players need time to prove they're capable of replacing them. Kovacic helps all of that happen.
Think that hits the nail on the head. Not a superstar signing but a high quality player who will help us manage the minutes that will be demanded from the squad next season. Think City have looked at the market for younger players and maybe decided its Bellingham or no one at this stage assuming we keep what we have in midfield. Would rather not blow money on players that Pep and the rest of the transfer team aren't convinced by as they get far more right than most. Think we will see a few more games where Foden will play a more central role but expect this will develop over the next 2 or 3 seasons rather than a sudden switch.Not the sort of signing you'd be frothing over, but a logical one. Pep must have missed that when he was evaluating him. You better give him a holler and give him the heads up...Just looking his YouTube highlights.
The guy doesn’t have it. You always have a feeling he is chasing the ball and doesn’t have it under control.
If he comes, I am sure Pep will get the best of him.
But
I also think McAtee and Doyle deserved the chance in this team.
