Lets be real, if the lad joins it is highly likely he is going to turn out very good.

Nunes has a lot of fundamentals that Pep would like and realistically, we aren't getting any other DM worth their salt whilst Rodri is here because the lad is the first name on the team sheet now. Nobody expected Gundogan to play DM and play a huge part in a 14 match win streak to win the title and yet it happened.

So what we are going to need to do is bring in capable midfielders who can play different roles as and when required.

We're not bringing in a Casemiro type DM...we may bring in 2 CMs, like Nunes and FDJ, and rely on a combination of the two to back up Rodri...I truly don't believe Pep wants a one dimensional type DM in his system...Rodri is NOT that...he's a "holding" mid with passing range and accuracy and now adding some goal scoring to his game...
