Arsenal got £ 15 million for Vermaelen and Chelsea £ 40 million for Luiz, got to get at least £ 10 - £ 15 million for Nastasic surely ?

£ 75,000 per week - do we ever learn ?

When we sign players (particularly younger unproven\untried when they first come to the club) surely now we must weight such wages so that there is a lower basic wage and then only higher is given to a player based on bonuses from appearances\winning games\winning trophies etc. Even for our better players surely now the very highest wages should only be gained when we win things.

I wonder what Sinclair and even Mangala etc are on ?

We have done that salary system since Txiki and Soriano came. Marwood probably handled contract negotiations in 2012 when he was signed, like for Sinclair etc.

I read somewhere that Fernando is on 50k basic. So I think Mangala is on lower basic than Nastasic.

The fee isn't great but it frees a spot,gets high wages off the books and an unhappy player out of the dressing room.

I am interested to see how our defensive situation resolves itself because it looks like Matija is off in January, Mancini may try for Kolarov in January, we don't know if Demichelis is going to extend his contract another season, and I can't see Clichy being here next season.

We could have to get two left-backs and two central defenders over the course of January and there summer.

I reckon Denayer will get promoted next season with Vinny mentoring him.
