Given that he's not HG anymore this talk of us signing a foreign keeper on top of a foreign CB makes me think Nasty is the one that's going to leave (with Rekik staying as 4th choice) to enable us to hit the 17 PL HG rule.

Would be a big mistake to sell him imo. A loan wouldn't be bad (maybe to Roma?), he's still only just turned 21, but we should not be selling a lad of his potential, especially when we don't have many players under the age of 26!

We don't have to register him either for PL or CL this season as he has been at the club for 2 years and has turned 21 this year; but from next year onwards, he would be on both lists

Ah, yes, I always forget about the U21 rule.

A good deal for his performance first year,he couldn't help being injured last year
He is a bit more than potential and if pellers is happy to keep him he will be a good long term investment

True, but it still counts as an 18 million expense. At best, we would still have had to shell out 15 million for him I think.

I thought Nasty was superb in his first season. A change in playing style and a succession of injuries have stalled his progress but he has the potential to be one of the worlds great defenders IMO.

Which for a 19 year old CB with a ton of potential, and who was ready to start from day one, isn't half bad, I'd dare say it was a great deal...
