Very promising. Not going overboard on him just yet though. Great on the ball but I think he needs to attack crosses and corners more as a central defender and be a touch more physical. Should be a great player in maybe a couple of years time.
Looks steady. Not convinced he'll be one of the top 10 centre backs in the world just yet. Not seen enough of him to make such a bold statement. Looks good though.
He looks good but I want to see him up against van Persie/Suarez before agreeing/disagreeing with the above. I think it's fair to say that he's not *really* had that much to do in the games he's played. I'll know after the derby and the Chelsea game this Sunday.

however people are making way too much of these attributes...i want to see that the lad can defend and at the moment he looks ok...nothing more
ok in the air but no better than anyone else we have or any other centre half in the league.
reading of the game is ok but as someone esle said...he certainly needs to attack cross better and be aware of the runs attackers are making across him
one negative is that he has no real pace at all with compared to the likes of kompany, and other very good centre halves so his reading of the game is going to have to really improve

Hes just played 90 mins against ronaldo, benezma, di maria, modric etc etc.
Doesnt get much harder than that.
And for 60+ mins with a back 4 he didnt look out of place.
This lad LOOKS great.

For a player who is only 19, playing against some of the best players in the world, yeah he isnt too bad. What an amazing player he could turn out to be.
