I'm a huge fan of Barry, and we missed him so much at the start of the season.
But 'technically' better than Silva, and anyone in our squad is simply not true.
He is techincally a v.good player, and maybe one of our most consistent, but to say he is technically better than Silva is just wrong.
Technically to me means touch, passing etc. The things that you could do without any opposition. Silva is technically in the top bracket of our players, along probably with Sergio, Mario, Tevez, Yaya and probably Barry and Kompany. I'd also argue Kolarov is good technically, though it doesn't often materialise into good performances. Maicon is good technically too.
Too say Barry is better technically than Silva is laughable though.

Not to contribute even more to thread drift, but I think at Barry's age he's going to become more and more part of a rotation. Right now we don't have too many options for what he does. Garcia needs more time to adapt and... well... that's about it.

Yep. I stopped reading there. Silva could easily do what Barry does for us and likely more effectively.
Not a knock on Barry, but he isn't close to Silva.

The return of Barry has done more to steady our defence than anything else. Nasty is an excellent prospect and deserves his place going on his performances so far, but a lot of credit for the clean sheets must go to Gaz Baz....he's the man.

It's the right move to give him a rest after so many games on the spin but my God his value is going up without him even kicking a ball. Defence has been all over the place at times.
