Can't agree mate. Excellent holding midfielder.Kalvin Philips is average and would be a waste of money on my opinion, mid table standard at best.
Bielsa really did a great job making poor players look class, just wasn't sustainable though for Leeds, wouldn't touch one of their players

I don't think it's a crazy idea as he's naturally a midfielder.
We are only looking for a backup to Rodri, so we could save some money here by using him and promoting Lavia for that role.

Phillips is only an inch taller and I wouldn't call Zin soft eitherToo small and not mobile enough for me.
We need a bully in this midfield with pace and athleticism.

Would be interesting to go back in time and see what posters opinions of Fernandinho as defensive mid was when 1st started. The general opinion would probably be - useless, too slow and not fit to lace DeJong's boots.
Actually, I'm absolutely certain that there was a whole raft of posts saying exactly the same thing about Rodri in his first couple of seasons.

Of course there is,Zinny gives his all,but Philips has far more about him in terms of putting it about.
