Maybe i was wrong about Elano

Why don't you give us some elano stats to cheer us all up?

If you post something that is blatantly not true and can be proven to be untrue by stats I'll certainly post it for you.

Otherwise I'll keep posting about football, you keep posting about other posters.

If he can’t handle small time players like TBH, Elano, Jo and Hamann, he’s definitely not the man to manage a team of real superstars.

Who says he can't "handle" them? Appears the alleged trouble-makers are on their way out. Looks like he's handling it fine to me.

More leaks designed to turn the supporters against particular players.

If he thinks the club is better off without certain people Hughes should sell them and move on, there is absolutely nothing to be gained by the character assasination that Hughes seems to indulge in. Disgraceful leadership.

And does anyone think that Elano, Jo and TBH are so influential in the dressing room if they can affect the result against West Brom, a game none of them played in.

What leaks, reading through that there is no single new quote or news we have not seen before. The writer could have got all his info from here.

it matters because many fans are calling for his head, when it seems that certain players are doing their best to get him sacked.

So, hang the players out to dry in an effort to get supporters off his back. Brave man.

And people are calling for his head despite question marks on some players because his performance have (on the whole) been crap.

While there is no smoke without fire, i would be very selective in what you believe in any of the paper stories. Every journo likes us to think they know all the goings on at City when in reality, if the past 5 months has proven one thing, its that, like most of us they havnt got a clue.

If any of this is the problem that they are making it out to be then why, as the window is now open, are these players not being touted around the football world with a big 'For Sale' sign on their heads?

Im not saying the stories are crap, to be honest there has been a bit too much mud on some players so some of it surely does stick. But if thats the case, then the management should indeed be dealing with it in a professional manner. If they aint fitting in, then this month is the time to move em on.

I for one would not be unhappy with any of the said players leaving the club........ closely followed by the manager if he doesnt sort his own act out in January!

Just goes to show how stats can slant things then doesn't it.

Not really, because it was quite easy to cast doubt on the stat you used.

Personally think 3 from 21 is a disappointing return from Elano this season anyway.

I kept my mouth shut about Elano because he was my hero last season and the incarnation of the new Manchester City, but I am afraid he has lived on that freekick against Newcastle for far too long now.

What made it worse were his comments shortly before the Nottingham game where he said he would love to go to Lazio... this is a so called professional footballer who shortly before the team he is supposed to play for is going out on the pitch to play in the FA cup is talking about wanting to leave the club.

Absolutely disgraceful.

Too all the people who believe this is Hughes leaking those "lies" to the press, I don't believe that for a second. Don't get me wrong I don't like Hughes but I do not believe he would do that.

And do not forget for a second who wrote this article... If you don't know him yet read some of the other various threads on his "handy work"; (aka pathetic journalism).

Will criticising them in public make us play better?

Do you think that our problems this season have been limited to players not working hard enough (same players less Robinho, SWP, Kompany finished 9th last season).

Are you prepared to absolve Hughes of any blame whatsoever? Did lack of work make him select Gelson at RB, LM, bring on Hamann at 2-2 against 10 man Newcastle etc.

Exactly, says a lot about the guy, he's a fucking shit-house

If MH is going to ship out these players - which he surely is - why would he be slagging them off to the media?? It is not in his interest to alert clubs that players are potential trouble makers is it? Unless it is part of a damage limitation tactic to keep himself in a job. Never a dull moment at city eh!!

He never said he'd love to play for Lazio.
