McDonalds struggling

Wrong. Minced meat has much more surface area, goes through more processing and can contain several cuts of meat, all of which makes it at much bigger risk of contamination.

I love a medium rare steak but I would never eat pink minced beef unless it was from a very reputable restaurant that made a point of saying exactly what it was, how it was prepared and where it came from.

Made fresh. I.e. it was minced on site and used on the same day if not within a few hours.

If they are making a point of deliberately serving less than thoroughly cooked burgers then it's likely the above applies. Or they could have just decided to run the risk of poisoning their customers just for the fun of it.

Eating McDonalds really can kill you...........But not for the reasons you may think.
The internet is awash with horror stories about most fast food chains.

Remember Morgan Spurlock? He was the guy who ate nothing but McDonalds for a month.
At the end, his health was so impacted Doctors feared for his life. If you are a average internet viewer, STOP READING NOW.

Ah ok, you want the truth! Turns out that McDonalds wasn't the only thing he was consuming.
He was an alcoholic and actually drinking heavily due to the income suddenly generated by the documentary.
His liver was absolutely fucked. He went on to die of cancer aged 53. So eating McDonald's probably did kill him!

However, the damage he caused to McDonalds actually shaped their menu. Some would argue for the best. Personally, i don't go to McDonalds to eat diet food. But the "Internet" only read the headlines. "McDonalds is bad for you".

I don't think any fast food chain is bad for your health. YOU are the problem with your health. Eat to much or the wrong things and your health suffers. Scientifically, the side salad on a kebab DOES cancel out any effects of the fat...honest! ;)

There is a reason Morgan Spurlock health was fucked up, and his liver function tests were so bad during the filming of Supersize Me. He was a high functioning alcoholic.

Nothing beats the old Wimpy on Market Street ;)
Well I would like to say that as good as Wimpy was (there were two in Stockport for a while) what I miss most is Burger King's Mushroom Double Swiss - what a sad say that was when it disappeared off the BK Menu in the UK. I've tried many times at home to try and re-create it, without success :-(

The last Mushroom Double Swiss I had was at Euston Station the day after watching Pink Floyd at Earls Court. Bloody lovely burger was the MDS.

I'm not sure if burger king is of a higher quality in the U.K than it is over here in North America but it is disgusting over here.
There's a handful of fast food burger joints that I won't eat at and they are one of them.
A&W and dairy queen are the other two and all three are within walking distance of my house.
Harveys is the best (of that type of place) but I doubt most will ever encounter one.
Wendys is also good.

Wendy's, Sonic, Smash Burger & In-n-out for me all the others are pretty meh.
