MCFC buy J league club Yokohama Marinos

Given the unique nature of the new City Football Group structure – which incorporates MCFC, New York City, Melbourne Heart and now Yokohama , the Club has agreed to certain non-material terms in order to make FFP reporting as easy as possible for UEFA to discern.

What are the non-material terms? if CFG becomes the most profitable part of MCFC, with global deals like Nissan ext. can we include in our earnings for FFP?

Aren't Nissan taking over as one of the main Champions league sponsors in 2014/2015 from Ford?

Wonder what they will have to say when one of their biggest sponsor agreements is not able to participate competitively in a competition they support??

Japanese carmaker Nissan has signed up to become a sponsor of the Uefa Champions League, Europe's top club football competition.

The value of the four-year deal has not been revealed, but current sponsor packages are reported to be worth more than £45m($74.6m;54.5m euros) a season.

Nissan replaces Ford, which in March said it would cut its 22-year partnership with the event.

Other current sponsors are Mastercard, Unicredit, Heineken, Gazprom, and Sony.

Nissan is Japan's second-biggest carmaker, and backing the Champions League will help raise its profile in Europe, where it recently said that conditions were "sluggish".

The agreement is its largest ever sponsorship deal and will establish Nissan as an official partner worldwide from season 2014-15 up to and including the 2017-18 season.

My guess is that the acquisition of clubs around the planet is leading towards a mega global multi sponsorship deal. There will never have been a sporting asset like it, with ‘bases’ dotted around the globe. There will be global sponsors for the ‘Women’s Brand’ (one assumes girly things like perfume, make up, sexy underwear etc), sponsors aimed at the Asian markets, sponsors aimed at the US and European markets and an ‘Umbrella’ sponsor which can piggy back onto the network. I wouldn’t be surprised if we didn’t soon have an MCFC Formula 1 team, an MCFC Horse Racing Stable and an MCFC Round the World Yacht team, all of which would attract major sponsorship's

Looks like Twattini will have to suck the Sheikh’s fat one in the not too distant future.
