MCFC.co.uk ERROR LIST

Thanks Dubia Blue for the reply..

But isn't this supposed to be a world wide targeted web site where every one gets equal viewing etc etc?

And this being the case, for a club that is going forward and building its reputation all around the world, I don't think it was very clever on the part of the people who made that decision. Surely the web site should be one of the main tools when it comes to attracting a world wide audience?

It will be down to whoever they bought the TV rights off, as City were just tapping into someone else's feed rather than broadcasting it themselves. They probably only bought UK rights and were therefore restricted to showing it in the UK only. It was available through plenty of other sources though, so doesn't really matter anyway.

Thanks again Dubai Blue.

That expains it. But I was very disapointed as you can imagin.

Again thank you very much for taking the time to explain.

Best wishes Vicky.

Jesus, how long have you got?

1. Main Page - The Title's in the centre page don't show up on articles using Konquerer. Also, the right hand side is unnavigatable, and the page doesn't display correctly.
2. The 'scribble writing' in Fans point of view doesn't display at all in Konquerer.
3. YOU FAILED W3C VALIDATION ON BOTH XHTML AND CSS!
<a class="postlink" href="http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http://www.mcfc.co.uk/&charset=(detect+automatically" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http: ... omatically</a>)&doctype=Inline&group=0
<a class="postlink" href="http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/validator?uri=http://www.mcfc.co.uk&profile=css21&usermedium=all&warning=1&lang=en" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/vali ... =1&lang=en</a>

4. You also don't pass on about 1000 points of the WCAG, despite your Accessibility Policy.
5. It's 5.33am on a Monday morning, and you're ticket shop is still telling me that it's busy due to a high volume.
6. Barcelona tickets are still listed as On Sale.
7. Palace tickets are listed as On Sale Saturday, when it's Monday and the game is midweek.
8. The Arabic site isn't even trying. They've recently broken the news that Joe Hart has gone to Birmingham.
9. I'm pretty sure that the Search system isn't functioning correctly. If you search for "stuff", it just randomly gives you any old story that seems important, despite the fact that it may never contain the word "stuff".
10. Various articles such as <a class="postlink" href="http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Team-news/2005/August/City-fans-know-the-score" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Team-news/20 ... -the-score</a> don't have pictures associated with them.
11. The Link to the CSA site is broken.
12. The accessibility links (Access Key + key) don't seem to work.

I can think of a few more, but I'm sure you get the point.

WTF is Konquerer?

WTF is Konquerer?

It's a tiny little web browser that nobody in their right mind would use. It was developed for the KDE windows manager in Linux. Firefox, Opera and Chrome are all better browsers available for free in Linux so it's a joke using Konquerer... Think the guy is trying to be "special" ;)

Lol, I would have thought IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera and Chrome support would have been enough ffs.

The current "guarantee your seat" story on the front page looks ATROCIOUS. Why oh why does nobody proof-read and check what things look like on the homepage? There's text over text, images covered up etc etc - amateur. Like I said, if I was our Chairman, I'd be KICKING OFF.

Fixed! Looks like they read Bluemoon! ;)

This thread can be used to point out errors if found on the Official Site.

24.09.09
1. Fixtures page read D for "draw" for the Barcelona game
1b. Same. D for "draw" for the Wolves game
2. Barcelona tickets still listed "for sale"

---------------

We have hands down, the BEST football site on the net. Lets help mcfc.co.uk keep the site info to a high standard.

If you find any "errors" / problems, post them here.

Fixed :)
