MCFC U16's

So Diego Lattie has joined Liverpool, Joe Hilton has joined Everton and now Mace Goodridge has gone to Newcastle.

Wish them all well and shows that even the players we haven't kept still have a great chance of a pro career.

Do we know when we'll find out who's stayed?
 
Tom Dele-Bashiru's just basically confirmed to me on twitter that he's staying next year...ha.

No Diaz, though I assume thats because he was already tied down.

Yeah, I assumed given the money involved he'd be tied down already and not need a scholarship - although I thought Sancho would be too.

Like the way that table lists Iker Pozo as being from Manchester - might be a tad generous.

That's the list of this years scholars. As already said Diaz will be on his own contract. We've also got the Swiss striker (Gonzales?) and the lad from Argentina to add to the squad plus a foreign keeper i think. Then there'll be the standouts from this coming seasons u16's who may get a chance. Has the look of an exciting squad, just a pity Campbell didn't take up his offer. Does anyone know who he's signed for ?

Yeah, I expect that team to have a good shot at the U18s league and FA Youth Cup, despite all playing up a year.

I think Campbell has gone to West Ham, or that was the rumour. It became obvious from his social media that he was becoming detached from the club.

With the FA Youth Cup it'll be interesting to see who drops back into the team from the EDS, ie Humphries,Duhaney,N'mecha, etc or if we'll stick soley with this group of players.

I think, depending on how successful we are in the UEFA U19 competition, we might even see Brahim still make the odd appearance. That will be his age group and I'm sure they will bring him in if they think it'll help us win - similar to how they did with Kelechi in 2015.
 
The FA Youth Cup is always a mixtures of the first and second year scholars. I'd suspect the likes of Brahim, Duhaney, Davenport, Nmecha etc will all be involved in it next year. The reason Diaz isn't on that list is because he was a first year scholar last year.
