Way too many overreations IMO. 90% of the players won't be ideal first team starters.

No Mancini didn't change it to chase the game, because it's a FRIENDLY. He was more interested in seeing people perform in certain positions than going gung ho for a pointless draw

Then why enter a tournament - all the other teams did not

Sorryi want City to win at tiddly winks

We entered the tournament to have a change of scenery from Carrington for them to train, get fitter, get used to each other (new players, youth players, regular players). Also to have a holiday together as a team before going back to Manchester for the more serious and intense pre-season training as the season draws closer. Also to do things like open football pitches for poor schools in deprived areas.

Results = NOWT!! Are they gonna come home fitter?stronger?priveliged to be given a nice holiday with the lads from the club?having bonded with each other again after the off-season, or initially for new players? YES! and that's all I'm arsed about!

Why are there no threads complaining about how well they've played everyday in training at Carrington? Well why are there people complaining, yet again, like there is every single pre-season there's ever been, but nobody ever gets it into their thick heads - IT'S JUST SOUPED UP TRAINING SESSION. FFS!!

Again no pressing, given Redbull too much time and got punished 2 -1
Our central midfielders were not good enough to control the game, that's all. You can see what it's gonna end since you saw that starting line up.

Far too much sense for this forum, I'm afraid.

Im trying not to be negative because pre-season results dont matter.

However, im sorry but we shouldnt be getting beat by NYRB.
Or at least - we should be trying NOT to get beat. If it makes us all feel shit when we lose then how do the players feel right now? It cant do them any good setting them up for the start of the season like this.

FFS Total over reaction on here.

Its never nice to lose BUT dont read too much into these results. Good run out again tonight against another decent team. We had less than half of our first team out there tonight and I would rather look at the positives.

Nimely was superb tonight and looked a right menace
AJ Was superb again for his half hour
Ade and Jo played some good link up play.

Its another ninety minutes under our belt and admittedly we are way off the pace BUT is early days in our pre season.

The only slight concern was we looked vulnerable at the back BUT he is giving everyone an opportunity and we are not going to click straight away.

Onouha and Ireland look like they need a change of scenery. Ireland's body language speaks volumes and Onuoha is simply not good enough IMO
