Fair play, its easy to pick one case where it didnt end well but then ignore the 100s it did, you dont get to the level that he is at without enough credibility to back it up.

i think it very much depends on the lawyer and what level they are at, a qc like pannick does not need the fee , the damage to his reputation from taking cases with little to no chance of success would be worth much more than any fee he would receive.

Naah, what counts at that level is not whether they win or not, but how well they argue their case. That is how reputations are made.

Back in the day when there were no financial restrictions on owners spending no one gave a shit. I don't remember calling out Liverpool in the 70s and 80s because they could spend what they wanted.
The richest clubs generally win the most and I've no problem with that.

I know the pl is a private members club but could a club challenge this anti competition rule in court ?

FFP is clearly bent in favour of established clubs and does lead to a free and fair market
