Yeah, they don’t like talking about that…Working in Birmingham this is a point I've often made. Our average attendance was also bigger the year they won the European Cuo (yes, apparently they've won it, who knew!)
They never filled it the year they won it. Only sell out was the City vs Ipswich semi final in 1981.
He most certainly did. Not to an English club though.Bellingham went for 115m

Deluded VillaCity have consistently had bigger attendances than Aston Villa going back more than 100 years. Apart from the odd season we have performed better than them. In 1981, the last season they won the title, their average was 34,000 (with a highest crowd of 47,000) in a stadium which then held 54,000. They are the most deluded and ignorant fans in the country.

You know it’s not 2032?Deluded Villa
Great post.
They last won the top flight over half a century ago in 1981.
Before that it was more than another half century ago in 1910, the same year the rags ( who had copied the Manchester name in 1902 and then cleared off out of town where they have dwelled on the outskirts ever since).
Back to deluded Villa, other than their only 2 top flight league wins in the last century, they won a few in the previous century to that when players wore hob nail boots.
Deluded indeed !
It is - you're 60.You know it’s not 2032?
