I am shocked.|Headline From todays Daily Telegraph
Diplomatic Gulf
The decision to block a UAE-backed takeover of The Telegraph has damaged relations with the Gulf state, a former Cabinet minister has warned.
That's a great nickname for them. Am pinching that from you.Weren't they originally called Mardarsenal FC?
Liverpool, United and Arsenal have exercised a quite clinical manipulation of the football authorities whilst masquerading as a force for the universal good of football.
Their orchestration of the media agenda has been systematic, constant, vicious and remorseless.
Very few people have talked about them in that way. It never happened. Nothing ever happened. Even while it was happening, it wasn't happening. It didn't matter. It was of no interest.
You have to hand it to them. It's brilliant.
The problem is it hasn’t worked. Not yet anyway.
With apologies to Harold Pinter.
Agree with this to a degree. But I also think that the reason it is so damaging is because its been reported in a way that amplifies the damage done with half stories and half-truths to build the narrative that the damage is all due to one club.No they are not it’s a valid talking point it’s now damaging the PL,
It seems that Arsenal supporters have suddenly discovered Der Spiegel or some of the other bits that have been around for months or even years.
I’ve seen loads of reposts about the British Embassy speaking to UAE about the charges like it’s a new embassy exclusive - ffs that came out months ago.
