Didn’t @tolmie's hairdoo say there wasn’t a release clause, and it was all cartel media hope reporting?
I did at the time but then City confirmed off record.

The first release clause was torn up when Pep signed new deal.

There is a release, but at a much higher number than being quoted now.

In a development that will shock precisely no-one, the ESPN headline on the story by uber-dickhead Mark Ogden focuses not on the league-record revenue nor the club-record profitability, but the record wage bill.

Oh, and 115 chrages gets a trot out too, naturally.

I don’t know why that’s an issue.. that 400m wage bill has brought in a billion of prize money and sponsorships for a successful team. Risk and reward

Slimy Stone has one article each on City and the scum on the BBC web sports page. His article on the rags getting rid of their Chief Exec is at least four times longer than the one on us recording record Premier League revenues.
???????????????????????????????????????

Is the wage bill that high ( not that it matters ) because it includes bonus payments that were a result of winning the treble?
