The Rags have turned on the Forest fan.

As a lifelong supporter of Manchester United, I have witnessed the unity and camaraderie that once defined our fanbase gradually erode into division and toxicity. Much of this negativity can be attributed to The United Stand, a YouTube channel that has gained notoriety for its abusive remarks towards our players. This toxic behavior is not only damaging to the morale of our players but also fosters an environment of hostility within the fan community.

The channel's host, Mark Goldbridge, has profited immensely from promoting this division among fans. He's never given anything positive back to the club. It is important to remember that football is more than just a game or business; it's about respect and sportsmanship both on and off the field. Mark posses neither.

Manchester United has always stood against abuse in all its forms. It is time we extend this stance by cutting ties with platforms like The United Stand which promote such behavior. By revoking their press credentials, we send a clear message that abuse towards players will not be tolerated.

Furthermore, we urge Manchester United to condemn publicly any form of toxicity within its fanbase and foster an atmosphere where constructive criticism replaces mindless abuse. Fans want a positive approach towards players and the club - let us strive for unity rather than division.

Join us in calling upon Manchester United to take action against toxicity by revoking The United Stand's press credentials. Sign this petition today!

If they start revoking press credentials for people who've slagged off United, there won't be anyone except Jamie Jackson left.

The mail will be in deep water when sales continue to drop…

I’d really like to understand how newspapers like the mail make their revenue. If only there was an independent investigative journalist who could work out the breakdown from print sales, advertising & err anonymous doners….

I would imagine the print sales don’t cover the ink.

When you have 659 million fans it’s bound to happen
Not wishing to be pedantic but:-

Research from global market research agency, Kantar, shows United have a worldwide fan and follower base of 1.1 billion, an increase of over 400 million since a similar survey was conducted in 2012.
From the MUEN. They are claiming 1 in every 8 persons is a utd fan. Ridiculous claim!!

Uncompetitive?

There are two points between the top three. with six to play. There have been five different winners in the last eleven seasons.

Compare that with Germany where Bayern won nine in a row. Try France with PSG dominant. How about Italy where Juventus won loads of titles? Spain has been a Real/Barca duopoly with Atletico occasionally butting in.

More pertinent, look at the PL in the 2000-09 era when United won year after year. Or even the final time of the old First Division when Liverpool won year after year.

The PL remains the most competitive of the major European Leagues.

The complaint isn't that the League is uncompetitive but that the Red Tops are not dominating.
Plus on at least 3 of the times we’ve won it - it’s gone to the last day

If it is anything like the political polls taken in countries - it will based on the percentage from 1,000 people. In other words - completely meaningless.

Made the unforgivable mistake of putting Talkshite on for a couple of minutes this morning & one of their presenters (Sam Allard?) said "Man City have a much bigger squad than anyone else & they never seem to get any injuries" needless to say I switched it off again soon afterwards.

In theory, you could stand outside any ground on match day, interview 1,000 people and come up with the figure of 8Bn followers/supporters for that club.
As you say, completely meaningless and false!

That pretty much sums it up perfectly.

The headline these bitter hacks really want to write is: "WHEN IS SHEIKH MANSOUR GOING TO BUGGER OFF" He should have got bored by now.

Someone asked McNulty on the BBC why does everyone in the press say City have a bigger squad when it's the same size as the others, smaller than most. His reply: they mean a better squad with more depth. Which begs the obvious follow-up question: why the fuck don't they just say that then?

They don’t even do the most basic research, charlatans the lot of them.
