“Validation”

I’m seeing this word pop up more and more recently so the question is does anyone seek “validation” for all the success we have had (and continue to have)?

Does having 2180 pages on what the media are saying about us show that we do deep down seek validation?

Whether it’s human nature or a British mentality, people just don’t like anyone being at the top.

I could create an anti city bingo of what people come out with, we could even create a weekly game similar from anything written in the media to on social media and we would all get full houses each week.

When they can’t critique the performances they call it boring.

When you continue to perform to a high level never seen before they call it uncompetitive.

When you hire the right people in the right positions and have a plan in place to recruit well in all areas they call it obscene spending.

When there are a splattering of empty seats on show it’s the emptyhad regardless of whether it is two mins before or after half time and the fans are shit.

When there is a quiet moment in the game it is library and the fans are shit.

When fans don’t act like they are listening to an encore at a Slipknot concert when celebrating a sixth goal v Burnley they are shit fans who are bored with winning.

And when you have exhausted all excuses then we are cheats.

It’s not just us either, no one has ever looked upon any dynastys/successful periods and not had some form of stick.

Leeds under Revie were dirty horrible bastards to an extent that 50 years later they are known as dirty Leeds and people hate them for no other reason in that they are Leeds.

United were hated under Fergie whether it was getting decisions or influencing referees, even their fans were labelled prawn sandwich brigade.

Chelsea under Mourinho were boring and negative, playing anti football and “ruining” English football due to how much they were spending.

Even Arsenal under Wenger were criticised for being too foreign.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve contributed to the thread in the past and had a moan about the wankers who write stuff about our club but at the end of the day, if we didn’t see any media would it effect on how we support our club?

On Sunday we will hopefully be crowned champions of England for the 10th time, and I have now reached a point where I just could not give a fuck what Nick Harris, Miguel Delaney and all the other freaks will be repeating for the sixth time in seven years. Some of them have their whole careers on the line based on the outcome of our hearing. In 25 years, no one will have a clue who these people are, they will be long forgotten, but everyone will remember how good this team and club are and it will be in the history books to remind those who aren’t even born yet.

Enjoy it!
Post of the season.

The red shirts pushed for us to be charged precisely for this. Not because they thought we'd be guilty but to devalue any wins and get people focusing on the 115 charges.

Their minions and glorified fanzine writers in the media are only too happy to do that for them.
Spot on.

This is something I've been saying for a while now. It's never been about seeking justice It's all about discrediting our achievements.

Which comes from a place of absolute weakness.

They can't compete so they'll discredit.

That's a fine business model.

Currently in Thessaloniki for a few days and there’s a marked difference in the response to “we’re from Manchester”. It’s met with “City or United?” now not just the assumption that everyone from Manchester is a rag. First young guy I spoke to at the hotel likes City because of Erling Haaland.

In 2002 I was in Bangkok with my missus & the bellboy asked if I was a City fan when I said I was from Manchester. This was pre Thaksin or any reason he’d have said City but judging by the tip I gave him it was a good call. I’ve wondered if at Bell boy school he was taught that City fans will be that shocked you’ll get a massive tip ;)

Agreed. It was the soundbite that has stayed around us since it was all announced. The 115 charges has made a win less likely and has held things up due to the complexity of all those charges. It will mean we win the case eventually but a certain amount of damage will have been caused, which was probably their plan all along….
Cuntish bastards

Where has all this over celebrating last nights win shit come from?
Sky.

They showed footage of the players celebrating a goal in the game, and an ex arsenal player said that should make west ham angry.

How many young guys did you ask?

Now I can see them praying for the day when Pep leaves, leaving us seemingly (hopingly for them) rudderless.
Not happening anytime soon.

Yesterday I was watching a southamerican programme called "Fútbol Total" with argie pundits mainly and several others from different spanish speaking neighbouring countries.

One could be forgiven for expecting a minimum "analysis" of the Spuds match, but it was a disgusting Pephate fest -under the guise of some comedy around a question of "is Pep the best manager in the planet?" - those clowns spouted such vitriol and lies. Their correspondent in Madrid said that Carletto destroyed Pep at the Bernabeu (it was 3-3) and Pep's excuses were the roof and the grass (he never said we lost because of it). Also that Pep is a traitor to his principles because of his tactics; Pep is a nobody, he wins because of money, he is a fake inventor of nothing, Carletto has got his number. And so on. Complete "La Caverna" of Real Madrid (the cavemen) behaviour, probably gobshites paid by Florentino to make that show.

Which led me to realise, Madrid is the main enemy because its cavernarious propaganda machine hate Pep über alles, they cannot forgive him the way his sides had dismantled Los Franco's Blancos, the spanish state darlings. They hounded Pep off Spain, that's why he was on a sabbatical, then Munich and finally Manchester, where he found a blue heaven. Of course the british media despise him, but they haven't stoop to sewer levels of La caverna madrileña. Not even the Liews, Delooneys, Roans, Simons stone et al. have spouted such vitriol, smear and slanders such as the Madrid troglodytes have.

Pep has nowhere to go.

for a few years when i used to go to tunisia and turkey, it was all "ah man city, yaya toure" but getting Erl has probably gained us even more worldwide fans and exposure
