Just got called a "dick head" by a pissed up cockney for the crime of wearing a city shirt (in Thailand) . This is the media's fault for creating this agenda against city and it's fans.

Is it the medias fault? I've walked past 100's of people in United shirts and whilst I might not have said it (every time) I always think wanker!

Can't find the MOTD thread so this is going in here.

Watching match of the day, we could be on 4th as spurs is the 3rd game.

The BBC couldn't be anymore obvious in how they perceive us. Absolute mardarses.

Be sure to come back and apologise on the weeks we're first but then you can reassert your anger if we're 4th again the following week, the week we're last you can go absolutely ballistic.
Order changes every week, I've seen some pretty tenuous reasons as to why the BBC hate us this one is pretty high up the list.
Sky must love us because they made us game of the day!

Brighton went to the top of the table for a short while after beating an average rag side or manchester united failed to win at Brighton due to a last gasp goal.

We can all call the narrative.

On holiday with the family in Costa del Sol area which I have been coming for over 35 years.
In a bar tonight whilst ordering drinks, one grandchild unsure of which crisps to to have
Chose a blue pack, then from the bloke next to us commented , nice Everton colours
I replied nah man city bud, then I got the full onslaught of abuse, cheats,115, oil money ect etc
I said whoa mate, let's see what happens when the verdicts arrive
He continued with city bingo phrases and getting more angry by the second
Then it turned nasty and very heated
My family and grandchildren were very scared and upset
Luckily for us the bar staff and other customers witnessed everything and jumped in and escorted the dickhead out of the bar before it got proper out of hand
I couldn't believe what had just happened
This is now becoming a serious social problem
We need this sorting one way or another soon

Don’t think it was, if I worked for MOTD, I’d have done the exact same running order as they did tbh. United losing was the big football story of the day and one that unites most people watching in terms of what they want to see!

And yet if you actually watched the game you’d have said this was a poor advert for the premier league between two teams who will be fighting it out for the lower European places. Neither will finish higher than sixth, nor lower than tenth. There were occasional glimpses of quality from both teams, but overall nothing to make you think this is the best league in the world.

The reason it was on first is because of who the rags were 15 years ago. The MOTD running order - close game in which the home side edge it over mediocre opposition - bears no relationship to the game as it stands today.

Putting them on first is simply the TV equivalent of click bait.

Possibly but don't they always put the early KO on first, I'd guess it's so that any comments during later matches about earlier results make sense?

I'm sure they only do that if there is a narrative to be made and, even then, comments are only made or edited in afterwards to fit that narrative. It has always been the biggest +/or best game +/or the greatest shock value that make it on first. So we would have been on first if we hadn't scored finishing 0-1, no matter how dull the game may have been. Lowly underdogs Brighton snatching a last minute winner against the world famous Cayman Islands FC (if only Gordon Smith could have done that in 1983) makes, in their eyes, the classic first game.

Two goals ruled out (correctly as it happens), the one where it hit his knee on the line was well funny.

This is why I dont wear my colours in public anymore. Im happy for my 10 year old to go full kit if he wants, he should wear it with pride. But there are far too many tossers like this around.
Im glad that others stepped in to help.
