Amazon Prime are the only Premier League provider where you can select "Stadium FX" which means for the game, there's no commentary, just the atmosphere of the ground, and its by far the best option out there.
Dementia?I thought he was pretty even-handed and kept his loyalties well hidden under his sheepskin coat.
He was the typical swot/geek/arselicker who had no personality.Don’t let time fade your judgement. Motson was a sycophantic ****. Absolutely despised him.

Fucking hell! I have a Martin Tyler dart board! You “absolutely despised ” a man who commentated on football?
Chacun à son goût…
Play the commentary from City’s website and pause the telly for a few seconds until it synchs with the commentary.
Alistair Mann and Michael Brown with a slightly City centric but not absurdly biased commentary. No shoehorned in clueless female co comm, no sly digs, no advertising 300 upcoming games twice every half - just a match focused commentary.
I recall Simon Hattenstone explaining in the Guardian as to why supporters should abandon watching football and switch to Rugby Union. This was after England had won won the Rugby World Cup. He went on to argue that supporting Newcastle Rugby was preferable to supporting any football team, because they had Jonny Wilkinson. This omitted the fact that Wilkinson had hardly played a match for Newcastle after the World Cup win because of injury.I see Simon Hattenstone is a City fan again this week, maybe just so he can write Tony Book’s eulogy in the Guardian which is actually quite decent. And he calls our current success joyful, which is a bit of a change from his usual hand wringing. I guess next week his conscience will kick in again
Christ that’s some statement regarding a paper that’s employed Mehdi Hasan and Polly Toynbee to name but twoI recall Simon Hattenstone explaining in the Guardian as to why supporters should abandon watching football and switch to Rugby Union. Hattenstone is a clown. He always has been and he always will be. I have been a Guardian reader for the last sixty years and will continue to be so, but I object to that idiot far more than than any other Guardian journalist.

Didn’t he insinuate in the article that he had been amongst the City fans at Brentford singing themselves hoarse? I only skimmed the article. The Prodigal Son is erm….I see Simon Hattenstone is a City fan again this week, maybe just so he can write Tony Book’s eulogy in the Guardian which is actually quite decent. This is some spin.
Dan Child’s in the Racing Post this morning:
‘Sorry Saints to be Utds next scalp’.
What is he going on about? They haven’t won in their last 6 games. Unreal. Ha.
Then we have Rag mouthpiece Duncan Castles promoting his podcast…
Can you guess what team he doesn’t like?
It will be the team making a ‘mistake’ and over paying ha.
Even Einstein would struggle to come up with an explanation of why 1 is more than 3.Have the rules changed or is drawing now a win?
That’s not ‘the media’ though. That’s disinformation and misinformation central, otherwise known as The Musk Daily…Then we have Rag mouthpiece Duncan Castles promoting his podcast…

He doesn’t ’work for’ the Times or The Sunday Times, although he may have articles published in those publications occasionally.Duncan Castles works for The Sunday Times and The Daily Record.

My point was that the linked article was on X, which you do have to go looking for and I do wonder why some City fans are so obsessed finding even more negative articles. It’s not like anyone who knows anything about anything doesn’t know about Duncan Castles and his rag leaning proclivities…..
