Media persecution of Raheem Sterling

The media spend the last two international tournaments telling us what an absolute c*nt Raheem Sterling is and then on the other hand tell us he is a role model, which is it?

It's not the best thing to have tattooed on your leg but let's face it, if it wasn't the tattoo they'd have found something else instead.

Because i think such a tattoo, irrespective of his alleged intention, has far too many negative connotations. He is also, whether he likes it or not,a role model for thousands of influential kids who may portray it as glorification of gun culture.

He also knew the fallout/reaction such a tattoo would receive, and while it is entirely his choice and right to do so,i believe it's unnecessary, even inflammatory.

As i intimated,it's not the best decision he's ever made.

Don't agree, his tatoo will make no difference. I also believe that this role model thing is way over played

Had this not been plastered all over the media. No one would have have known

But that being said its his decision and is certainly not stupid or inflammatory

....
Did you ever play cowboys and Indians when you were a kid ? Did you then think after watching hundreds of those kind of films that Indians were baddies and ok to go around shooting them ? I’m guessing not ...

That's basically what the Sun is saying. Absolute bollocks.

I have to question if you would have come to the same conclusion if Pogba or Lingard were the subject of discussion.
But Pogba and Lingard do not get relentlessly slaughtered by the gutter press, do they? I am also unaware that either of them lost their fathers to gun crime? Completely irrelevant comparisons. Raheem has once again done nothing wrong here, just like his breakfast, like his car, like his shopping, like his mums house etc

It is not a subject of discussion.
It is an attempt by a certain section of the media which has its own editorial objectives. Almost subliminally convincing people like yourself that Sterling is a fair object of concern and critiscm.
In reality a decent person who looks after his family and does alot of good for disadvantaged people.
I also have nothing to say negatively about Pogba or Lingard, why should I ?
