He doesn't mate. The point is, he's not the only one that doesn't but he's the only one the media slag off.I personally don’t think Sterling plays very well for England.

You know that's not true.
So because Sterling has had a great season for his club then he shold be held to a higher standard than other players. Why do you fail to grasp the point that the reason that he had a great season was that the players he plays with at club level are far superior to those he plays with at international level. He is making the same runs and getting into the same positions but isnt being found ask Lukaku if he would rather play with Lingard or KDB if you saw that pass yesterday. Stuart Brennan has written a good article today highlighting the reason why Sterling may not be as successful for England which I hope you read it will help you understand the problem he is facing

Raheem Sterling may NEVER be as good for England as he is for Man City
Manchester City star has been brilliant for club and ordinary for country but it is no great surprise
Can make all the same runs and be in all the same positions all he likes; but if you can't get the ball under control or give it away or dribble into a defenders legs it matters for little. He was poor last night. Arguing whether he was poorer than others is academic. Hope he gets another chance to put it right.
And at last someone who can watch an England game without City tinted specs on. THIS all day long.
It obviously isn't when he is the one singled out for disproportianate criticism.Arguing whether he was poorer than others is academic.
I couldn' care less what the media and pundits make of it. I was responding to posters on here defending a poor performance on the basis he was as shit as Lingard. It obviously isn't when he is the one singled out for disproportianate criticism.
You are probably right but like I said he is our best player and if doesn't perform then he will be singled out. He will be singled out anyway because he is Sterling which is a shame but doesn't take away that at this time they are probably right to do so.
That comparison could be used if he didn't have an open net, with a ball put on a plate by an England team mate which he fluffed. I said it yesterday which I don't think you replied to, that everything he does wrong for England (and there is a lot) cant all be his team mates fault because they aren't City standard? Missing chances, losing the ball, failing to take defenders on, that is all down to his "ability" no one else. I do think we should expect more from our better players absolutely, it's worrying if you don't.
